BioBio

Ryun Hovind has been a film and video editor for the past 15 years. In college he cofounded a high-end post production group known as the “Video Producers”. After graduating from college in 1998 he went on to work for an NBC affiliate in Peoria, IL where his duties included commercial production work, camera operation for live newscasts, and live audio engineering.
 
In 1999 Ryun returned to college to pursue his Masters degree in Mass Communication while also taking on a position as assistant editor. His employer was ICV Productions, a prominent production house specializing in high-end consumer productions and corporate videos, Some of the clients Ryun worked with included: Caterpillar, Windsor Foods, Illinois State University, Simantel, and Komatsu.

Ryun branched out on his own doing freelance editing and working under his production company Immortal Pictures.  His clientele grew to include commercial, consumer and entertainment based projects which included: CMT, Nashville Film Festival, Gov. Phil Bredeson, Fictitious Records, Mitchell Galin, Sandi Patty, Tennessee State, and the Birmingham Film Festival.
 
For almost two years Ryun worked as the Director of New Media at "Lightning Media" in Hollywood. He is certified in Final Cut Pro and specializes in the more advanced features in Final Cut Studio.

Most recently Ryun has migrated to the world of academia.  He is a technical instructor for Glendale College in the Media Arts Department.  He provides supplemental instruction for students in DVD Studio Pro, Final Cut Studio, Pro Tools, and Adobe Creative Suite 3. Ryun has an established list of references who can attest to his reputation for hard work, dedication and creativity under pressured deadlines.

Ryun is the proud father of three and is happily married to his high school sweetheart, screenwriter MeLisa Lomelino.
